Guardians worldwide

For Nature. For life.

There are different kinds of guardians. Guardians of the forest. Guardians of rivers. Climate guardians.

Guardians Worldwide is a community based initiative that connects nature custodians from all around the world, indigenous and non-indigenous, local and global, urban and rural, young and old.

Our mission is to facilitate learning, connection and capacity to strengthen efforts to protect rivers and forests and to teach and disseminate collective solutions to climate change.

WHY GUARDIANS

We live in challenging times. Sometimes it is hard to know where we belong. What we really care for. Whether we feel connection or not. How to access the knowledge we need to make a difference. How to even start.

We may wonder: how can I take responsibility for what is happening to the planet? How can I make a difference? Can I possibly stop deforestation, the destruction of rivers, climate change? What could my role be?

The answer lies in each and every one of us.

We must stop the blame game, and take responsibility for care and action. That is what Guardians is all about.

JOIN US

Guardians Worldwide is the fruit of many years of journeying with Nature. That is why we lovingly design learning and transformational platforms from the basis of nature experience.

Our model of Guardians training is not a conventional form of professional training. Guardians is a form of life training. We design learning and capacity building so that they can be enjoyed as experiences and as journeys. We want to enrich your life and support your professional career with memory, friendship and life learning. Our work is steeped in vital values—kinship, connection, care, often drawing on the regenerative learnings of the many Indigenous friends that teach in our bespoke courses.

You too can join the Guardians international community and learn from some of the most extraordinary Indigenous and non-indigenous guardians defending the world’s rivers and forests systems today. All you need to do is join. You too can become a river guardian and make a difference.

How to join?

You can become guardian in many ways. You can join our Guardians Mighty Networks, and stay informed of what our community is doing, or share your own work. You can join one of our Massive Open Online Courses, or a short course, or a Guardians training or Little Guardians camp.

You can become a Guardians donor, or volunteer to work in our organisation
